All the advantages of Accueil Vélo accommodation

Closed garage to store bikes, advice for bike tours... The Auberge de la Sélune, certified Accueil Vélo, is particularly involved in welcoming cyclists.

Cyclists, here's some information about your cycling route.

The Auberge de la Sélune is situated between 2 stages of the Véloscénie itinerary (V40), a 560km circuit linking Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel.

For more details, ask at the hotel reception desk for Sandra and Patrice GIRRES, the hotel managers, who will be delighted to give you information on other routes to visit Normandy by bike, such as the D-Day landing beaches or the vélomaritime (EV4).

Cycle routes passing through Ducey

Ducey is meeting many cycling routes: Véloscénie, Vélomaritime - Eurovélo 4, Vélowestnormandy. The Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel area is ideal for magnificent bike routes, combining intimate countryside with other grandiose nature. After a small grove with some beautiful hills, the roads to Mont-Saint-Michel are flat and facilitate an easy arrival at what will be the climax of your trip if you are on the Véloscénie.

300 meters from the greenway, the Auberge de la Sélune is intended to be a fun stop on your journey, with a charming setting including a beautiful terrace in the garden, as well as refined cuisine.

Organize your cycling route

Many sites are at your disposal to make it easier for you to organize your cycling trip. We advise you:

1st stage: from Saint-Hilaire du Harcouët to Ducey

From the Norman countryside to the village of Ducey.
You leave the Val de Sée to discover the Vallée de la Sélune.
Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët , the country of apples and pears , has a large market welcoming 200 traders on Wednesday morning.

Not to be missed:

  • the walk to the water of the Priory in St-Hilaire du Harcouët
  • the castle of Montgommery in Ducey, dating from the 17th century

2nd stage: from Ducey to Mont-Saint-Michel

Finally, the last step, but not least!
Your reward after many kilometers, a last kick to breathe the iodine air, with this maritime decor offered by the Couesnon, the Sée and the Sélune.
Now, many bike parking lots are available in the Cour des Fanils, at the foot of Mont. You can use the bridge to park your bike. However, it is forbidden to park bicycles along the bridge-bridge, on the esplanade in front of the Mont and at the foot of the ramparts.

Not to be missed:

  • les prés-salés : to see the prés-salés lamb in its natural environment
  • the visit of the Abbey of Mont Saint Michel
