Ducey

Charming village labeled Village Etape, Station Verte and Ville Fleurie 3 flowers

Its heritage registered and classified as a Historic Monument reveals a superb castle and a picturesque stone “Old Bridge” which spans the Sélune and whose 7 arches are partly hidden by the old roadway.

Built on the site of an old wooden bridge, it bears the date of its construction in 1613 on its parapet, making it one of the oldest stone bridges in the department.

At the entrance to the village on the banks of the Sélune, the majestic Montgommery castle built in the 17th century invites you to take a historical break. Its superb ceilings decorated with paintings, its imposing fireplaces and its monumental staircase bear witness to an innovative architectural project that we owe to a powerful Protestant lord whose family left its mark on the history of France.
