Auberge de la Sélune - gourmet restaurant near Avranches
Our wine list
The wines on our list have their history. A story of transmission and loyalty, when they continue to be proposed to you from generation to generation. A story of encounters, when we discover them during our travels. A story of passion, when our chef Shoro, having worked in Burgundy, brings his sensitivity and knowledge to perfect our menu.
With around a hundred wines on offer, our wine list is producer-oriented. We like to introduce you to these passionate winegrowers, their work and their choices, from their freshest aperitif wines to the most complex of their parcel selections. Many of our wines are organic, and some may be sulphite-free, but it is above all the quality of the wine and the winemaker's expertise that we are looking for.
Some of our wines are available in half-bottles, but we also offer wines by the glass, with the possibility of tasting some of the very best vintages by the glass.
So take a look at our menu, ask us for advice on a wine and food pairing if you wish, and choose your emotion.
Aperitifs, beers, digestives and non-alcoholic drinks
Discover our local drinks
Beyond wines, the Auberge de la Sélune proposes you a drink list in which you will find our selection of aperitifs, digestives and non-alcoholic drinks.
Among them, local drinks play an important role, and several of our producers are showcased in the products they create. Normandy apples and pears feature prominently on our menu.
At the table, before your meal, try our tonic cocktail, for example, based on the idea of a gin and tonic, using only Norman or home-made products.
Travel to the Northern Rhône Valley
Stéphane Montez
Stéphane Montez is a renowned winegrower in the north of the Rhône Valley. Owner of the Domaine de Monteillet, he has perpetuated the lineage of his family of winegrowers for nine generations.
We met him at the Ampuis wine market, during a chance meeting with local wine lovers. He won us over with the quality and character of his wines, his family history and his passion.
Since then, we've visited his estate, with plots overlooking the Rhône, and we've come to appreciate his dynamism, his professionalism and his confidence in nature.
On our wine list, you'll of course find his unmissable Cuvée du Papy, as well as his extraordinary Condrieu Chanson, which amazed us.
Astonishing diversity of the Menetou-Salon
The Jean Teiller estate
It was our chef Shoro who brought Domaine Jean Teiller to our menu, in the Menetou-Salon appellation.
Born of a fine family history of discreet humility and love of the land and their craft, Patricia and Olivier Luneau have fully embraced their transition from Monique and Jean-Jacques Teiller to offer us wines from an estate that is entirely farmed organically and biodynamically.
Their fine wines will take you on an emotional journey through the vineyards of Menetou-Salon, where you can appreciate all the subtleties brought to the Sauvignon grape variety by their work on the land and the vines, from the elegance of their Mademoiselle T to the generosity of their Rencontre.
Auberge de la Sélune - selection of local drinks
Apples & pears
What Normandy apples and pears can have in store for us is incredible! And it is the work of Domaine de Coquerel, Laurette, the Pacory family, Vincent and Sandrine that allows us to marvel at these treasures of our region. For two generations now, we've been working hand in hand with them to bring you the fruits of our landscapes on the table, in your glasses.
Enjoy them on our terrace or in the dining room with a calvados, a cider, a perry, an apple or pear pommeau, an eau-de-vie, an ice perry, an apple juice, still or sparkling... Or be surprised by the way they are combined in our tonic cocktail with other local flavours such as Normandia gin from Coquerel.
